Task has considerable hands-on experience in Automotive engineering, from safety compliance to design of special purpose vehicles, including engines, chassis optimization, deck mounted cranes, electrical components and cellular manufacturing. A recent assignment involved the design of a special purpose holding frame that suspended a 2000 kg Ford Escape vehicle 90 metres above ground on the side of the Auckland Sky Tower. Believed to be a world first, the vehicle remained secured to the tower for 28 days and endured extremes of wind and rain.
